Disney’s New MagicBand+

Disney’s New MagicBand+

THE BRAND NEW MAGICBAND+ IS NOW AVAILABLE AT DISNEY WORLD!

On July 27th, Disney released a new set of MagicBands. These MagicBands have

a new look, feel, and you’re able to interact with the 50th Golden Statues, and go on missions in Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios!

Some new features that we have experienced while wearing the new MagicBand+ include:

  • Getting into the park it does a little light show after scanning in
  • Character statue interaction. When waving the band in front of the character statue, you’re able to hear a song or message from that character. If there are a lot of people around you it might be difficult to hear.
  • Complete missions in Hollywood Studios’ Galaxy Edge

Here are some other ways guests are able to interact with the MagicBand+ that was carried over from the old MagicBands:

  • Unlock resort room
  • Charge food and merchandise purchases to the payment card on file at your Disney Resort hotel room during your stay.

If you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation or an Annual Pass, you may receive a special discount on a customized MagicBand+.
